The server exposes Financial Modeling Prep through MCP. It covers quotes, company profiles, financial statements, ratios, price history, news, calendars, insider data, ETFs, currencies, crypto, and other data groups. Ten curated tools handle common requests, while discovery tools can reach the library’s full set of about 240 methods.
Run it with uvx fmpsdk-mcp and provide FMP_API_KEY. The server can be added to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, or Zed. Method results are usually lists of dictionaries, so the agent or your code must parse them. FMP plan tiers control endpoint access, while the 7 client.tipranks methods need a separate paid add-on and have not been checked against a live response. Without FMP_API_KEY, the server cannot query the API.
