DuDuClaw — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Bridges CLI agents to 11 messaging platforms and maintains conversation memory in SQLite. Useful when teams need AI coders reachable right inside chat apps.
claude mcp add duduclaw -e DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY=<DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY> -- npx -y duduclawWhat DuDuClaw does
DuDuClaw connects command-line coding agents to chat applications such as Telegram, LINE, and Discord. It routes incoming messages and logs token expenses per task. Context stays on your machine. Dialogue history and notes persist inside a temporal SQLite store and a layered wiki.
The core is a Rust application composed of 24 crates with an embedded React 19 web dashboard. Safety layers include an operating system sandbox alongside AES-256-GCM encryption for credentials.
DuDuClaw does not include an LLM. It remains nonfunctional without a configured backend like Claude Code, Codex, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Running via npx strictly requires Node.js 20 or newer and an active DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY.
What it helps with
- connect Claude Code to team messaging channels like Telegram or Discord
- keep persistent dialogue history across CLI runs in local SQLite
- track agent spending across different model backends
- manage multi-account key rotation and failover policies
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the DuDuClaw local wiki and summarize pending tasks
- Send the latest build summary directly to the linked Discord channel
- Display token cost logs for the current agent session

Questions about DuDuClaw
How to install DuDuClaw in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add duduclaw -e DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY=<DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY> -- npx -y duduclaw. Make sure to replace <DUDUCLAW_MCP_API_KEY> with your actual token.
What does DuDuClaw do?
It acts as plumbing between CLI tools and 11 messaging platforms. It provides multi-channel routing, local memory persistence in SQLite, and expense auditing.
Does DuDuClaw come with a built-in AI model?
No, it does not ship with an LLM. You need to supply an external CLI runtime such as Claude Code or Codex, or point it to an OpenAI-compatible API.
