DocsAutomator — Claude Code MCP server: setup
DocsAutomator turns your data into branded documents and sends them for approval or signing. Use it when an agent needs document workflows and status tracking.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.docsautomator.co/mcpWhat DocsAutomator does
DocsAutomator connects an AI agent to a hosted MCP server. The agent can shape a template around a website, fill it with supplied values, and produce a PDF or Word document. It can then send the file for approval or signature and track the request through to the final PDF.
The server exposes 18 tools for templates, documents, automations, and signature requests. Optional record sources include Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets, SmartSuite, and ClickUp after the account is linked in DocsAutomator. Sign-in uses OAuth, while apps without OAuth can send an API key as a Bearer token. A DocsAutomator account is required before the connection can complete. Test mode adds a preview watermark and does not count the document toward the plan, while the recipient still receives the real email.
What it helps with
- turn data into a PDF or Word document
- build a template in a brand style
- send a document for approval
- request a signature and track its status
- pull records from Airtable or Notion
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a quote in the style of
https://your-website.com, send it to[email protected]for approval through DocsAutomator, and use test mode. - Use data from Airtable to make a client document and send it for signature with DocsAutomator.
- Check the latest signature request and retrieve the final PDF.
