Crypto Tools Registry — Claude Code MCP server
Catalogs over 800 crypto and DeFi utilities with trust scoring. Exposes a Next.js REST API so AI agents can query and filter tools.
Open on GitHubWhat Crypto Tools Registry does
This project acts as an index for blockchain tools inside the Lyra ecosystem. It tracks utilities across decentralized finance, token trading, and smart contract workflows. Each entry receives an automated trust score through the SperaxOS algorithm, which grades tools as A, B, or F based on documentation, valid deployments, and test coverage.
The architecture runs on Next.js 14 using TypeScript, Drizzle ORM, and Zod. Developers can query tools using full-text search with filters for specific chains like BSC or Ethereum, protocols, and API key requirements. The database can also ingest tools directly from a local Lyra server through a dedicated seed script.
Without a valid PostgreSQL connection string in DATABASE_URL, migrations and server startup will fail. The public demo is offline, so you must run the server locally on port 3000.
What it helps with
- search crypto tools by blockchain network and protocol
- verify utility reliability using SperaxOS trust ratings
- register custom DeFi tool definitions via REST endpoints
- track trending blockchain tools over daily or weekly windows
Example prompts for the agent
- Search for verified Ethereum DeFi utilities using
/api/search?chain=ethereum&category=defi. - Fetch this week's top trending crypto tools using
/api/trending?period=week. - Register a new tool definition with category
securityvia a POST request to/api/tools.

What does Crypto Tools Registry do?
It catalogs metadata for over 800 crypto and DeFi utilities. The service rates tool quality using the SperaxOS algorithm and serves searchable data to AI agents via REST endpoints.
Which database does the registry require?
The service runs on PostgreSQL. Free tiers from providers like Neon or Supabase work, configured through the DATABASE_URL environment variable.
