This server bridges your editor with codewiki.google, exposing three dedicated tools. codewiki_search_repos queries indexed open-source codebases, codewiki_fetch_repo retrieves documentation either as continuous markdown or structured page trees, and codewiki_ask_repo handles repository queries while preserving up to 20 conversation history turns.
Under the hood, the server uses wink-nlp to parse repository identifiers straight from conversational prompts. Failed 5xx requests trigger automatic retries with exponential backoff. You can run the process via standard stdio, Streamable HTTP, or SSE transports, or build it using the included multi-stage Alpine Dockerfile.
Querying frequently without passing a GITHUB_TOKEN environment variable quickly triggers GitHub rate limits.
