What codegraphcontext-mcp does

The server exposes tools for querying a repository graph, tracing a symbol’s impact, collecting branch context, and finding dependency hotspots. Responses include structured receipts and usage records for agent and CI workflows that need audit evidence.

This is a paid hosted service, not a local server supplied as repository source code. It connects through Streamable HTTP. Production requests need a bearer token issued by the service, so the endpoint alone is not enough to use it. Add the endpoint to an MCP client and send the token with requests.

What it helps with

  • query relationships in a repository graph
  • trace the effects of changing a symbol
  • gather context for a branch
  • locate dependency hotspots
  • produce audit evidence for agent and CI requests

Example prompts for the agent

  • Query the repository graph and show related code areas.
  • Trace which parts of the project could be affected by changing this symbol.
  • Gather branch context and report dependency hotspots.
