BankSync — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Connects an AI agent to bank accounts, transactions, balances, and investments. Use it to query financial data or send records to connected services.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.banksync.ioWhat BankSync does
BankSync is a remote MCP server with 28 tools for bank connections, accounts, transactions, balances, investments, loans, workspaces, and sync jobs. An agent can inspect available accounts, retrieve financial records, configure data feeds, and start a sync.
The service uses Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.banksync.io. Feeds can send data to Notion, Google Sheets, or Airtable. A BankSync API key is required. The local npx bridge cannot connect without BANKSYNC_API_KEY.
What it helps with
- retrieve transactions from connected accounts
- compare balances across bank accounts
- inspect investment portfolio performance
- send financial records to Notion or Google Sheets
Example prompts for the agent
- Use BankSync to show my largest expenses from last month.
- Ask BankSync for the current balance of every connected account.
- Create a feed that sends my transactions to Notion, then trigger a sync.
