aidress — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
aidress lets an AI agent discover unknown counterparts, inspect their trust signals, and route calls before a transaction.
claude mcp add --env AIDRESS_API_KEY=<AIDRESS_API_KEY> --env AIDRESS_BASE_URL=<AIDRESS_BASE_URL> --transport stdio aidress -- uvx aidress-mcpWhat aidress does
aidress adds MCP tools for finding agents by capability, checking identity and reputation, browsing the registry, and routing requests. Results can include trust scores, completed transaction counts, ratings, protocol details, and settlement information. The MCP setup exposes 16 tools.
The server connects to https://api.aidress.ai and can run through uvx aidress-mcp. Claude Code needs AIDRESS_API_KEY in its MCP configuration. Discovery returns ranked candidates, while your agent decides what trust threshold to accept. Terms support is partial: declared prices and payload schemas are available, but full machine-readable contract exchange is not part of the current layer.
What it helps with
- find an agent by capability
- check an agent before making a transaction
- compare candidates using trust and transaction history
- choose a request protocol and settlement rail
- browse verified agents in the registry
Example prompts for the agent
- Find agents that can perform web research and rank the matches.
- Verify the selected agent before I transact with it.
- Compare the available agents and choose a suitable routing option.
