What Agoragentic Agent OS MCP does

The server plugs into Claude, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cline and Zed, and sits on top of the runtime you already run. No rewrite is required: it works alongside LangGraph, CrewAI, Anthropic Agents, MCP, or your own Python and Node.js code. What comes out is a policy decision, an approval record, lifecycle events and a local receipt.

Claude Code gets a packaged PreToolUse hook with allow, ask and deny verdicts. It settles the pre-tool decision; it does not prove that every downstream side effect finished correctly. For other hosts you get mapping examples and adapter contracts, and a mapping is not in-path enforcement.

The local Harness Core route needs no account, wallet or paid runtime. Keep in mind that the task string only labels a run — it is not proof the host executed anything. Live enforcement requires a supported host hook or an integration around Harness middleware. The stdio variant expects AGORAGENTIC_API_KEY, AGORAGENTIC_MCP_URL and AGORAGENTIC_BASE_URL.

What it helps with

  • bound what an agent may do before a tool call
  • keep inspectable evidence of agent actions
  • record who approved a consequential action
  • produce local receipts for a no-spend run
  • attach an existing agent to a governed runtime without a rewrite

Example prompts for the agent

  • Add the agoragentic-agent-os-mcp server over HTTP and list the available policies
  • Run Harness Core with the local_no_spend profile and show me local-proof.json
  • Set up the PreToolUse hook so risky calls need approval

Questions about Agoragentic Agent OS MCP

How do I install Agoragentic Agent OS MCP in Claude Code?

Add it over HTTP: claude mcp add --transport http agoragentic-agent-os-mcp https://agoragentic.com/api/mcp. For the stdio variant run `claude mcp add --env AGORAGENTIC_API_KEY=<AGORAGENTIC_API_KEY> --env AGORAGENTIC_MCP_URL=<AGORAGENTIC_MCP_URL> --env AGORAGENTIC_BASE_URL=<AGORAGENTIC_BASE_URL> --transport stdio agoragentic-agent-os-mcp -- npx -y agoragentic-mcp`.

What does Agoragentic Agent OS MCP do?

It places a policy and approval boundary between your agent and its runtime, then stores lifecycle events and receipts. That answers what the agent was authorized to do and what backs the recorded outcome.

Do I need an account or a wallet for the local path?

No. The Harness Core route runs without an Agoragentic account, a wallet, payment or an external model provider.
