seo-content-refresher — Claude Code subagent: refresh stale content
Finds outdated dates, stats and examples in a page and turns them into a refresh plan. Useful when rankings start slipping.
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
/plugin install seo-analysis-monitoring@claude-code-workflowsWhat seo-content-refresher does
The subagent scans your content for anything past its sell-by date: dates in titles, statistics older than two years, examples and case studies from three or more years back, dated terminology, dead links. Then it sorts the work. Pages that dropped more than three positions and seasonal content come first; stagnant rankings over six months and competitor updates land in the current month.
What you get back is a refresh plan: per-page actions, a priority queue, an update checklist, and suggestions for new sections. Tactics are listed separately — swap in current numbers, add fresh case studies, extra FAQ questions, expert quotes, internal links. It also flags platform details: modified date display on WordPress, frontmatter date edits on static sites, sitemap priority tweaks.
The agent runs on haiku, so sweeping a lot of pages stays cheap. One caveat: it only works on the text you hand it. It won't crawl your site or publish anything. Drop the file at .claude/agents/seo-content-refresher.md and keep the filename exact, or Claude won't pick it up.
