seo-analyzer — Claude Code subagent: SEO audits and meta tags
A subagent for technical SEO audits, meta tag review and Core Web Vitals. Useful when you need a prioritized list of fixes for a site.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent web-tools/seo-analyzerWhat seo-analyzer does
This is a Claude subagent that handles technical SEO work. It looks at site structure, page titles and descriptions, Schema markup, internal links and URLs, plus mobile layout. Core Web Vitals and page performance get their own pass.
It runs on five tools: Read, Write, WebFetch, Grep and Glob. Pages come in through WebFetch, while project files are searched with Grep and Glob. The output is an audit report with priority rankings, meta tag recommendations, Schema markup implementations and a performance roadmap.
One thing to plan for: the subagent leans on WebFetch, so a local site with no reachable address gives it little to work with. Spin up a staging URL or a tunnel first. It also only proposes changes — Write is there for reports, not for rewriting your templates.
What it helps with
- run a technical SEO audit and rank the fixes by priority
- rewrite titles and descriptions across a set of pages
- break down Core Web Vitals and find what slows the page down
- add Schema markup and validate what is already there
- spot problems in internal linking and URL structure
Example prompts for the agent
- run a technical SEO audit on the homepage and the blog section
- check the meta tags on these pages and suggest new titles and descriptions
- review Core Web Vitals and tell me what to fix first
