Cursor skills, plugins and MCP servers
Everything that installs into Cursor: skills, subagents, commands, rules and MCP servers. Each card has an install command and example prompts.
Nothing here yet: cards appear once a checked description is ready.
Cursor is the Anysphere code editor with a built-in agent. Project rules live in .cursor/rules/*.mdc, where four modes come from the alwaysApply, globs and description fields; plain .md files in that folder are ignored. The legacy .cursorrules still works, and AGENTS.md is read at the root and in subfolders.
Cursor happily reads other tools' files. It looks for skills in .cursor/skills/ and .agents/skills/, and for compatibility in .claude/skills/ and .codex/skills/; subagents come from .cursor/agents/ and .claude/agents/. MCP servers go in .cursor/mcp.json or ~/.cursor/mcp.json, hooks in .cursor/hooks.json. The /migrate-to-skills command (Cursor 2.4+) turns rules and commands into skills.
