Slash commands for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor

Ready-made prompts you call with /name.

Nothing here yet: cards appear once a checked description is ready.

A slash command is a saved prompt you trigger by hand: /review, /deploy and so on. The agent never runs it on its own, which is the main difference from a skill.

Claude Code used to keep commands in .claude/commands/*.md. According to the docs they have been merged into skills: both create /name, and old files keep working. Gemini CLI writes commands in TOML, as .gemini/commands/*.toml with a prompt field and {{args}} substitution. Copilot in VS Code uses prompt files in .github/prompts/*.prompt.md, while Windsurf (now Devin Desktop) calls the same idea workflows and stores them in .devin/workflows/. Codex custom prompts in ~/.codex/prompts are deprecated, and OpenAI recommends skills instead. Cursor converts old commands into skills with /migrate-to-skills.

If you need one command in two agents, keep a single source and generate the copies with a converter such as rulesync. All paths in one table: AI agent config files.
