A prompt here is request text or a template that is not tied to any agent format: paste it into a chat, save it as a slash command or put it inside a skill. This section collects prompts for development work such as reviews, tests, refactoring, documentation and debugging.
The largest open sources use permissive licenses. prompts.chat (formerly awesome-chatgpt-prompts) publishes its prompts under CC0, and Fabric has 265 patterns under MIT. We show their text with attribution.
GitHub also hosts a whole genre of leaked system prompts from commercial agents. The repository license grants no rights to someone else's text, so we list those as links only, without a copy. If you reuse a prompt often, save it as a command: a skill or a file in .claude/commands/ for Claude Code, .github/prompts/*.prompt.md for Copilot. Paths for other agents: AI agent config files.
