A recent investigation revealed that their systems completely failed to protect at-risk players, lacking the proper automated tools to track excessive spending or time spent on the site. Worst of all, their flawed policy locked flagged accounts out of further safer-gambling reviews for seven days, meaning vulnerable players displaying clear signs of harm were ignored - resulting in one tragic case where a customer lost £17,900 in just 24 hours with zero intervention from the company. While they claim to have updated their processes since being caught, this massive fine proves that Betfred prioritized profits over basic customer safety.

Someone has fraudulently opened an account using my details. This should not happen and shows a lack of care and due diligence. Trying to sort this out using the 'chat bot' doesn't work as they assume it's a duplicate account and not someone who does not have an account (and does not want an account) so one star from me. Update: Look at their reply! This is exactly the problem... because they don't address the problem and the link the supply takes you to FredBot. Pathetic!

Whilst losing money everything was fine, as soon as I won my account was frozen. Betfred wanted copies of my passport, bank statements, utility bills etc. These documents in the wrong hands could destroy my life, so I refused to send them and asked for my funds to be returned. They said not unless I produce the documents. I replied donate my funds to charity and I will close my account. Atrocious customer relations within a substandard company. My winnings totalled £57. RIDICULOUS.

Intentionally misleading welcome bonuses, and they refuse to accept any accountability in Live Chat.The published promotional terms state that I must:"Stake £10 or more on Slots at Betfred Games and/or Vegas within 14 days of creating your account." Service will do anything not to give you your money. They deactivated my account because I reported unusual activity, and refused to give my money back and jokingly told me to "Call the police". Absolutely dreadful service with no customer relationship.
