What voice-of-customer-miner does

This skill sweeps public feedback across review platforms like G2 or Capterra, mobile app stores, Reddit, and practitioner forums. Instead of tallying feature requests, it clusters findings around underlying needs using short verbatims paired with URLs. It also tracks channel bias: app store reviews skew toward update frustrations, while vendor communities lean defensive.

Runs follow an investigation protocol. The agent spends at most 3 questions clarifying the target product, the underlying decision, and any specific focus area. Then it builds a search plan and delivers a structured snapshot with need themes, competitor vulnerabilities, and switching triggers. Each session takes around 20 to 35 minutes.

All findings arrive as hypotheses for customer interviews rather than definitive truths. The workflow fails on early-stage projects or niche enterprise software that lack an open web footprint, simply because there are no public discussions to evaluate.

What it helps with

  • pull direct customer quotes for sales battle cards
  • identify competitor vulnerabilities from public reviews
  • seed discovery interviews with evidence-backed hypotheses
  • pinpoint why users switch away from rival tools

Example prompts for the agent

  • Mine public customer reviews for [Competitor A] focusing on onboarding to guide our migration feature.
  • Run a customer voice sweep on forum complaints for our segment before we draft discovery interview questions.
