What video-download does

This skill guides an agent through yt-dlp commands for media URLs from YouTube and 1000+ sites. It can save video as mp4, extract mp3 audio, retrieve subtitle tracks, list available formats, and print JSON metadata without creating a media file.

Install ffmpeg when video and audio arrive as separate streams and need merging. Without it, HD downloads with split streams can fail, so this is worth checking before requesting a merged file. For HTTP download errors, the skill advises updating yt-dlp with yt-dlp -U.
