sponsor-research — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Research sponsors across podcasts and YouTube, or trace a brand’s placements by show, ad-read count, dates, and current status.
npx skills add arcmira/mcp --skill sponsor-research -a claude-codeWhat sponsor-research does
This skill handles two research paths. It can rank recurring sponsors for a show using ad-read activity, with first and latest appearances, or group a brand’s advertising placements by show. Results include counts and can surface a sample ad read when the service returns one.
The workflow first resolves a user’s name to an entity ID. Ambiguous matches are returned as choices, while an assumed match carries the evidence behind it. It runs through arcmira_execute_read and uses arcmira.resolve, arcmira.sponsors, and arcmira.recommendations; paginated results are collected before counting.
A show lookup needs a YouTube channel ID, while brand research uses an entity ID. If the API returns recommendations_not_enabled, the brand-to-shows path cannot run because access and the required account tier are controlled by the API.
What it helps with
- identify a show’s recurring sponsors
- count a brand’s ad reads
- track first and latest sponsor appearances
- list shows carrying a brand’s ads
- compare sponsors shared by two shows
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the recurring sponsors for the YouTube show “TBPN”, with ad-read counts and first and latest dates.
- Show which programs advertised Mercury during the last 90 days, grouped by show.
- Compare the sponsors of these two shows and return the brands they share.
