What skill-share does

This skill scaffolds standard directories for new agent capabilities, preparing SKILL.md with required frontmatter alongside scripts/, references/, and assets/ folders. It enforces hyphen-cased naming. An automated validation step verifies manifest formatting before packaging.

Once confirmed, the files bundle into a distributable zip archive. The workflow then notifies your team in Slack using Rube actions such as SLACK_SEND_MESSAGE and SLACK_POST_MESSAGE_WITH_BLOCKS.

The setup requires Python 3.7+ and local write permissions. Without an active Slack connection configured through Rube, automated channel notifications will fail.

What it helps with

  • scaffold a standardized folder structure for a new agent skill
  • verify SKILL.md headers and formatting before distribution
  • bundle skill directories into a single zip archive
  • notify team channels in Slack about newly generated tools

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a skill called pdf-analyzer and announce it in our Slack channel
  • Generate a structured template for api-linter with scripts and assets folders
  • Validate the SKILL.md metadata and package the skill into a zip
