shopping-campaign-audit — Claude Code skill: Shopping audit
Reviews Google Ads Shopping and retail campaigns, including product spend, bidding, feed coverage, and weak performers. Use it to find where product ad spend leaks.
npx skills add cognyai/claude-code-marketing-skills --skill shopping-campaign-audit -a claude-codeWhat shopping-campaign-audit does
This skill discovers Google Ads Shopping campaigns and the retail portion of Performance Max, then checks product-level spend, conversions, revenue, impressions, and clicks. It surfaces products that spend without converting, compares ROAS across product types, and identifies the products driving most revenue.
When Shopify or WooCommerce is connected, the audit can compare the ad catalog with store products and paid orders. That exposes products selling in the store with little Shopping spend and gaps between attributed ad value and store revenue. Google Ads must be connected through Cogny MCP; a store connection is optional. The audit will not run without Cogny MCP.
Installation uses npx skills add for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode. GitHub Copilot uses gh skill install. Microsoft Ads data is available at campaign level, while product-level detail comes from Google Ads.
What it helps with
- find products with spend but zero conversions
- compare the store catalog with products that received impressions
- spot gaps between ad-attributed value and paid store orders
- check which Merchant Center IDs campaigns use
- compare ROAS across product types

Questions about shopping-campaign-audit
How do I install shopping-campaign-audit in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add cognyai/claude-code-marketing-skills --skill shopping-campaign-audit -a claude-code, then use ~/.claude/skills/shopping-campaign-audit/SKILL.md.
What does shopping-campaign-audit do?
It reviews Google Ads Shopping and retail Performance Max campaigns, product spend, impressions, conversions, bidding, and Merchant Center links. With a connected store, it compares advertising results with catalog and order data.
Can it find products with zero impressions?
Google Ads product reporting returns items that had impressions, so it cannot identify the missing items by itself. A full Shopify or WooCommerce catalog is needed for that comparison.
