reproduce-and-fix-issues — Claude Code skill: what it does
Recreates triaged Slack bugs in real UI via an app adapter and drafts fixes only after verified repros. Designed strictly for the Benny automation workflow.
npx skills add cursor/plugins --skill reproduce-and-fix-issues -a claude-codeWhat reproduce-and-fix-issues does
This skill operates under Benny automation to handle bug reports posted in Slack threads. It locks the source thread coordinates right away so no root messages slip into main channels. The workflow pauses until an approved triage marker appears, such as [benny:bug]. Subordinate analysis workers stay strictly read-only and never receive Slack credentials.
Reproduction relies on an external control adapter and a pre-built feature map. The error must manifest twice during genuine UI interactions, including clicks, typing, or scrolling. Faking a failure by mutating state or relying on code inspection alone is prohibited. Once confirmed, the agent authors a draft pull request. If an existing commit or pull request already targets the problem, the agent switches to verification mode instead.
Missing adapter capabilities or an incomplete feature map will block execution immediately.
What it helps with
- reproduce interface bugs through live application control
- prevent unauthorized Slack posts by delegated sub-agents
- validate existing pull requests against reported symptoms
- open draft pull requests backed by verified repro steps
Example prompts for the agent
- Run reproduce-and-fix-issues on the Slack thread with the [benny:bug] marker
- Verify the existing pull request for the reported issue using reproduce-and-fix-issues
