What quiz does

The skill can pick a recently read item or use a document you identify by title, URL, or ID. It retrieves the full text and your highlights, then asks questions individually and grades each reply. At the end, it gives an overall score and one takeaway.

Questions can test the document’s main claim, how you would apply its ideas, or what its argument leaves out. A reader_persona.md file in the current directory lets the skill tailor questions to your work and interests; without one, the questions stay general. It needs access to Readwise MCP tools or the readwise CLI to retrieve documents.

What it helps with

  • test recall of a recently read article
  • identify the main claims in a document
  • check understanding of highlighted passages
  • apply a text’s ideas to current work

Example prompts for the agent

  • Quiz me on something I recently read in Readwise Reader.
  • Find the article about software architecture in my Readwise Reader and test what I remember.
  • Quiz me on the document with ID 12345.
