load-pr-comments — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Extracts unresolved GitHub PR review comments and organizes them into isolated task files under .specs/comments/ for parallel coding agents.
npx skills add NeoLabHQ/context-engineering-kit --skill load-pr-comments -a claude-codeWhat load-pr-comments does
The skill fetches unresolved review threads from a pull request and converts them into structured markdown files in .specs/comments/. It operates strictly as a read-only integration, so it never posts replies, alters review states, or writes back to GitHub. Each thread turns into an actionable requirement that preserves original code diffs and exact suggestions rather than summarizing the dialogue.
Pull request resolution tracking depends on GraphQL, because the standard GitHub REST endpoint does not report whether a review thread is resolved. The skill checks for the gh command-line tool first, falling back to a GitHub MCP server tool. If neither tool is authenticated, processing a private repository will fail.
To prevent merge conflicts between parallel agents, tasks are grouped by target file or feature area without duplicating items across files. Repeated trivial suggestions are pooled into a single nitpicks file. The skill also ensures that .specs/comments/*.md is appended to .gitignore.
What it helps with
- convert unresolved PR review comments into actionable tasks
- isolate tasks into separate files to avoid parallel editing conflicts
- bundle trivial nitpicks into a single checklist
- preserve code suggestions from review comments without distortion
Example prompts for the agent
- Load unresolved review comments from the current branch PR into task files
- Parse open review threads from the pull request URL into specs
