crypto-report · claude-office-skills — Claude Code skill: crypto project analysis

Breaks down a crypto project's tokenomics, on-chain metrics and competitors, then writes the findings into a markdown report. Handy when you need the full picture on a token fast.

What crypto-report does

The skill works in steps. You name the project, ticker and network, then pick the scope: quick overview, tokenomics focus, technical review or a full deep dive. From there it fills in sections on supply distribution, vesting and upcoming unlocks, activity metrics, network health and a competitor comparison.

It ships with a markdown report template that already has tables for key metrics, a risk level and a rating. Value accrual gets its own section — fees, buyback and burn, staking. Project categories are mapped out too: L1, L2, DeFi, infrastructure, gaming, stablecoins, each with its own metric set.

One thing to plan for: the skill does not pull live prices or on-chain data, does not predict price moves and does not give investment advice. Smart contract audits are out of scope as well. So TVL, volume and holder numbers are yours to supply — otherwise the report stays a template with empty cells.

What it helps with

  • map token distribution and vesting for a project
  • pull on-chain metrics into a single table
  • benchmark a protocol against competitors on TVL and market cap
  • assess risk and shape an investment thesis
  • produce a finished markdown research report

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze the ARB token on Arbitrum, category L2, give me a tokenomics deep dive
  • Write a quick overview of the project, here are the TVL and active wallet numbers
  • Compare the protocol to its competitors and rate the risk level

How to install crypto-report

1Skills CLI (Vercel)

npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill crypto-report -a claude-code

2Manually: put the files in place

~/.claude/skills/crypto-report/SKILL.md

Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/crypto-report/

Questions about crypto-report

How do I install crypto-report in Claude?

Run npx skills add claude-office-skills/skills --skill crypto-report -a claude-code. The skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/crypto-report/SKILL.md.

What does crypto-report do?

It walks through a crypto project's tokenomics, on-chain metrics, competitive position and risks, then returns a markdown report with tables and a rating.

Can it fetch the current token price?

No. The skill does not reach live prices or on-chain data, so you pass those metrics in yourself. It also does not predict prices or offer investment advice.

# Crypto Report Skill

## Overview

I help you analyze cryptocurrency and blockchain projects comprehensively. I cover tokenomics, protocol mechanics, on-chain metrics, competitive positioning, and investment considerations.

**What I can do:**
- Tokenomics analysis (supply, distribution, vesting)
- Protocol/technology assessment
- On-chain metrics interpretation
- Market and competitive analysis
- Risk factor identification
- Investment thesis development

**What I cannot do:**
- Access real-time prices or on-chain data
- Predict price movements
- Provide investment advice
- Audit smart contracts

---

## How to Use Me

### Step 1: Specify the Project

Tell me:
- Token/project name and ticker
- Blockchain network
- Project category (L1, L2, DeFi, NFT, etc.)
- Any specific metrics you have

### Step 2: Choose Analysis Scope

- **Quick Overview**: Token summary and key metrics
- **Deep Dive**: Comprehensive protocol analysis
- **Tokenomics Focus**: Supply and distribution analysis
- **Technical Review**: Protocol mechanics and security

### Step 3: Provide Context (Optional)

- On-chain data (TVL, transactions, users)
- Token holder distribution
- Recent developments or news

---

## Analysis Framework

### Project Categories

| Category | Examples | Key Metrics |
|----------|----------|-------------|
| Layer 1 | ETH, SOL, AVAX | TPS, TVL, Developer Activity |
