crypto-ta-analyzer — Claude Code skill: OHLCV technical analysis
Runs indicator math over crypto or market OHLCV data and shows where signals agree and where they fight.
npx skills add dkyazzentwatwa/chatgpt-skills --skill crypto-ta-analyzer -a claude-codeWhat crypto-ta-analyzer does
The skill runs technical analysis on normalized OHLCV data. Three scripts do the work: scripts/data_converter.py and scripts/coingecko_converter.py reshape source formats, and scripts/ta_analyzer.py computes the indicator stack and scores the signals. Trend, momentum, volume and divergence each get looked at on their own instead of collapsing into one number.
Order matters. Get the data, convert it, then analyze. Feed it a raw export and the scripts won't recognize the format — that's the usual first stumble.
The skill's own guardrails say signals are not guaranteed outcomes, and it asks you to keep deterministic indicator output separate from your own reading of the chart. So expect an answer that walks through indicator agreement and conflicts, not a verdict.
What it helps with
- compute RSI, MACD and moving averages from an OHLCV export
- reshape CoinGecko data into a consistent format before scoring
- cross-check several indicators and surface the disagreements
- spot price and volume divergences across a history
- keep machine-computed indicators apart from your own interpretation
Example prompts for the agent
- run technical analysis on this OHLCV file
- normalize this CoinGecko export and compute the indicators
- show me where the indicators disagree on trend and momentum

Questions about crypto-ta-analyzer
How do I install crypto-ta-analyzer in Claude?
Run npx skills add dkyazzentwatwa/chatgpt-skills --skill crypto-ta-analyzer -a claude-code. The skill file then sits at ~/.claude/skills/crypto-ta-analyzer/SKILL.md.
What does crypto-ta-analyzer do?
It computes an indicator stack over OHLCV data and scores the signals: trend, momentum, volume, divergence. It also reports which indicators line up and which conflict.
Do I need to prepare the data first?
Yes. The skill starts from normalized OHLCV, and scripts/data_converter.py plus scripts/coingecko_converter.py handle reshaping. Skip that step and the analyzer has nothing to run on.
