c-weather — Claude Code skill: weather and installation
Fetch current conditions and forecasts from wttr.in. Ask for weather at your location or name a city to check.
npx skills add daxaur/openpaw --skill c-weather -a claude-codeWhat c-weather does
c-weather uses curl to request weather from wttr.in. It can return current conditions, a forecast for today and the next two days, or information for a named city. Choose a compact line, a detailed report, or JSON output. It can also retrieve the Moon phase.
The skill can use automatic location detection for current conditions, and you can specify a city directly. No API key is needed. Its requests rely on curl, so that command must be available for weather lookups to work. The guidance tells the agent to include temperature and conditions, and to mention the feels-like value when it differs noticeably.
What it helps with
- check current weather for your location
- get a forecast for a named city
- request weather data as JSON
- compare the feels-like temperature with the actual reading
- retrieve the Moon phase
Example prompts for the agent
- What’s the weather like where I am? Include the temperature and conditions.
- Give me today’s forecast for
Berlin. - Fetch weather data for
Londonas JSON.
