What brand-consistency-checker does

The skill acts as a brand management and design systems expert: it reviews materials for consistency, flags violations and returns correction recommendations. Output follows a fixed template with a results section and a recommendations section you can copy straight into a ticket.

Everything lives in a single SKILL.md file with instructions and the output format. No scripts, no external services — the agent does the checking on whatever you hand it. That also means the quality depends on how well you spell out the brand rules: palette, typefaces, logo usage. Without that list there is nothing to compare against, and the skill falls back on general design sense.

It installs into Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode. GitHub Copilot uses a different command, gh skill install.

What it helps with

  • catch colors in a deck that fall outside the brand palette
  • compare document fonts against the guidelines and list the mismatches
  • verify the right logo is used on slides and cover pages
  • collect a fix list before sending materials to a client
  • hand a designer a written report instead of verbal notes

Example prompts for the agent

  • check this deck against our brand: palette #1A2B3C and #F5F5F5, font Inter
  • compare the logos and fonts in this report with our guidelines and list the violations
  • go through the slides and tell me where the colors drift from the brand
