angular-tooling — Claude Code skill: Angular CLI for v20+
A skill for driving Angular CLI in Angular v20+ projects: scaffolding, code generation, builds and tests. It is no longer maintained.
npx skills add analogjs/angular-skills --skill angular-tooling -a claude-codeWhat angular-tooling does
The skill covers the usual Angular CLI ground: start a project, generate a component, service or module, configure the build, run tests, produce a production bundle. The agent picks it up when those tasks come up in an Angular v20+ codebase.
One thing to know before installing: the skill is marked deprecated, the author stopped maintaining it, and the old guidance was pulled from the repo — it survives only in git history. The Angular team now ships official skills instead, and the README points there. So this package is worth pulling only if you deliberately want the old version.
There are limits too. It is not meant for Nx workspace commands, custom Webpack configs, or builds that bypass Angular CLI — standalone Vite or direct esbuild, for instance. On that kind of stack it will not help you.
What it helps with
- scaffold a new Angular v20+ project
- generate a component, service or module
- configure a production build
- run tests in an Angular project
- get the right Angular CLI command
Example prompts for the agent
- scaffold a new Angular project with the CLI
- generate a component and a service for this feature
- build for production and show what can be sped up
