angular-directives — Claude Code skill: deprecated, skip it
An Angular directives skill that is no longer maintained. The Angular team now ships official skills instead.
npx skills add analogjs/angular-skills --skill angular-directives -a claude-codeWhat angular-directives does
The angular-directives skill in the analogjs/angular-skills repo is marked deprecated. Its guidance was pulled rather than left in place to rot, so the old contents survive only in the repository's git history.
It used to cover writing custom directives for Angular v20+: attribute directives that change how an element looks or behaves, structural ones for portals and overlays, and host directives for composition. For control flow it pointed at the native @if, @for and @switch blocks instead of hand-rolled structural directives.
The author sends you to the official Angular skills: npx skills add https://github.com/angular/skills. Already have this one installed? npx skills remove analogjs/angular-skills takes it out. Installing it now buys you nothing, since nobody maintains it.
What it helps with
- find a maintained replacement for a stale directives skill
- drop an unmaintained skill from the project
- figure out which directives Angular v20+ still needs
- switch to the official Angular skills

--- name: angular-directives description: DEPRECATED - this skill is unmaintained. Use the official Angular skills at https://github.com/angular/skills instead. Create custom directives in Angular v20+ for DOM manipulation and behavior extension. Use for attribute directives that modify element behavior/appearance, structural directives for portals/overlays, and host directives for composition. Triggers on creating reusable DOM behaviors, extending element functionality, or composing behaviors across components. Note - use native @if/@for/@switch for control flow, not custom structural directives. --- # Angular Directives > **⚠️ Deprecated.** This skill is no longer maintained, and its guidance has been > removed rather than left to go stale.
