angular-testing — Claude Code skill: deprecated and what to use
An abandoned Angular testing skill whose instructions were pulled out. What is left is a deprecation note and a pointer to the official Angular set.
npx skills add analogjs/angular-skills --skill angular-testing -a claude-codeWhat angular-testing does
angular-testing from analogjs/angular-skills is no longer maintained. The author removed the testing guidance rather than leaving it to rot, so SKILL.md now carries a deprecation note and a pointer to the official Angular skills. It installs with the usual npx skills add command, like any other skill.
What the agent gets is that note. No TestBed examples, no patterns for signals or OnPush arrive when the skill loads. For Vitest or Jasmine work the install buys one thing: a signpost to the maintained set. The old text still sits in the repo's git history if you want it.
So the realistic use is cleanup. Install it only to drop it, or to swap it for the official pack. The file itself hands you the removal command, npx skills remove analogjs/angular-skills, which is worth running if an old experiment left this skill in your agent config.
What it helps with
- replace an abandoned Angular testing skill with a maintained one
- remove
analogjs/angular-skillsfrom an agent setup - explain why the agent writes no
TestBedtests after loading the skill - move a project onto the official Angular skills

The official set is maintained by the Angular team, and the angular-testing file itself says to install those. What remains here is a stub with a deprecation note.
