The server is built in Go. It connects an agent to WHOIS and RDAP protocols over HTTP, retrieving registration metadata for top-level domains, CIDR prefixes, and autonomous system numbers. Because of ICANN guidelines and GDPR rules, the tool strips out personal phone numbers, physical addresses, and owner emails from the output.
You can connect directly to the public demo URL without running local services. If you choose to host the Go application yourself via Docker, it uses in-memory caching by default and supports an optional Redis instance. When running locally without a reverse proxy, you must enable localhostProtection in config.yaml to defend the /mcp endpoint against DNS rebinding.
