wc26 — Claude Code MCP server: World Cup 2026 data
Hands your agent World Cup 2026 fixtures, squads, stadiums, city guides and fan zones. Everything ships in the package, no API keys.
claude mcp add wc26 -- npx -y wc26-mcpWhat wc26 does
wc26 is a TypeScript MCP server that talks to your agent over stdio. It exposes 18 tools, among them get_matches, get_team_profile, get_venues, get_city_guide, get_fan_zones, get_visa_info, get_news, get_injuries, get_odds, get_standings and get_bracket. Most accept filters such as date, team, group, venue or timezone.
The dataset travels with the package: 104 matches, 48 nations, 16 stadiums across the USA, Mexico and Canada, 16 city guides, 18 fan zones, 34 historical head-to-head records. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Nothing external is called, so setup is a single command.
It runs through npx, which means Node.js and npm have to be on PATH. No npx in the agent's environment and the server never starts — check that first.
What it helps with
- pull the fixture list for a given date
- compare two national teams side by side
- get a travel guide for a host city
- check visa rules for travelling fans
- read the knockout bracket from R32 to the final
Example prompts for the agent
- Brief me on the World Cup right now
- Show me tomorrow's matches in America/New_York
- Which venues are closest to MetLife Stadium?
