What Verified Handles does

The server links AI tools to a directory of verified profiles and identifiers. In free mode, the agent queries names and inspects revision logs without passing an API token. All traffic runs over HTTP POST. The protocol is completely stateless.

Modifying records requires an API token or an OAuth sign-in. To prevent accidental edits, changing tools execute as a dry run first. Supplying an expired or revoked token triggers a 401 error. It will not silently fall back to public reading.

What it helps with

  • find verified social profiles for a company or public figure
  • verify who owns a specific handle across platforms
  • inspect revision history for an existing directory entry
  • manage and submit directory entries under an account

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find the official GitHub handle for Anthropic using Verified Handles
  • Look up the social accounts linked to the openai handle
  • Check the revision history for the Stripe directory entry
