Snipzr — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Snipzr lets an AI client manage short links, review campaign metrics, build UTM URLs, and generate QR codes. Connect it when you want an agent to handle link tasks.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.snipzr.com/mcpWhat Snipzr does
Snipzr connects an MCP client to the hosted short-link service. Its tools can create links individually or in batches, search and update them, and remove them with a confirmation step. Agents can also fetch daily click data, campaign reports, domain status, and QR codes with custom colors, captions, or logos.
The server uses remote HTTP, so there is no local process to install or run. In Claude Code, register it with claude mcp add --transport http snipzr https://mcp.snipzr.com/mcp, then sign in using claude mcp login snipzr. OAuth works on the Free plan. Clients without a browser need a bearer token, which requires a paid plan.
Access is scoped to selected workspaces and permissions. Links made by an agent use the same monthly allowance as manually created links, while requests also count against the plan’s API rate limit. Check snipzr_get_usage before batch work; analytics are cookie-less.
What it helps with
- create a short link or a batch of links
- find links using text, domain, or campaign filters
- change a destination or remove a link
- review click data and campaign performance
- build a UTM URL and generate a QR code
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a short link for this destination and label it “Summer campaign.”
- Show daily clicks for the
springcampaign and prepare its report. - Generate an SVG QR code for this link with our logo.
