What presentations does

This MCP server connects clients to the Alai API to turn unstructured text or markdown into styled presentations. The toolset covers deck creation via generate_presentation and slide adjustments with create_slide and delete_slide. It also creates speaker talking points. Final outputs download as PPTX files, PDF documents, or shareable web links.

Deck creation runs asynchronously. The client triggers the generation task, polls get_generation_status every 2 to 5 seconds, and handles the finished deck via presentation_id. Visual styling uses built-in themes such as EMERALD_FOREST or visual vibes listed by get_vibes.

Without a valid ALAI_API_KEY or an OAuth 2.1 session, execution calls fail. Unauthenticated connections can only inspect tool definitions.

What it helps with

  • turn meeting notes into a structured slide deck
  • export generated decks to PPTX or PDF formats
  • generate speaker talking points for presentation slides
  • restyle existing presentations with built-in visual themes

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a 5-slide presentation from notes.md using the EMERALD_FOREST theme
  • Export presentation pres_123 as a PPTX file
  • Generate speaker notes for the slides in presentation pres_123
