The server gives an agent tools to find OeBB stations by name, retrieve departures or arrivals, search between two stations, and fetch current disruption notices. Station lookups can use a name or an ID. Route searches can filter for direct trains and plan around a departure or arrival time.
To connect it to Claude Code, run claude mcp add oebb-mcp-server -- uvx oebb-mcp-server. Route search accepts time in ISO 8601 format. The direct-only filter must be enabled when you want to exclude routes with transfers; otherwise, the search is not limited to direct trains.
