What NuBerea does

NuBerea exposes scholarly biblical databases to AI clients via the Model Context Protocol. It allows assistants to inspect entries in the LSJ or BDB lexicons and parse Greek morphology through the Macula dataset.

The server retrieves transcriptions of early manuscripts, including Codex Sinaiticus via CNTR data. It also handles synoptic comparisons from Aland's synopsis, which helps trace Old Testament citations across the New Testament.

You need a registered account at https://nuberea.com/login before connecting. The client points over HTTP to https://mcp.nuberea.com/mcp and maintains sessions using refresh tokens.

What it helps with

  • parse Greek and Hebrew verse morphology
  • inspect textual variants across ancient biblical manuscripts
  • trace cross-references and quotations across Scripture
  • build outlines for biblical teaching and exegesis

Example prompts for the agent

  • Look up John 1:1 in Greek with word morphology from the Macula dataset
  • Compare Genesis 1:1 Hebrew text against the Septuagint translation using NuBerea
  • Show manuscript differences for Mark 16:9-20 across early codices
