What NextBlock CMS does

NextBlock CMS gives an agent access to content management on your self-hosted site. It can work with pages, posts, blocks, media, and site settings, so you can request content changes from your coding assistant instead of making each edit in the CMS yourself.

The MCP endpoint uses your site’s address and the /api/mcp path. Add that endpoint in Claude Code with the setup command below, substituting your site host. A deployed NextBlock site is required; without one, there is no endpoint to connect to.

What it helps with

  • edit a page on a NextBlock site
  • create a site post
  • change a page block
  • manage site media
  • update NextBlock settings

Example prompts for the agent

  • Update the About page on my NextBlock site.
  • Create a post announcing the new section.
  • Replace the text in the first block on the home page.
