mixx-dj-mcp exposes Mixxx controls to an AI agent. Its tools can load tracks, play or pause decks, set cues and loops, sync tracks, search the library, adjust mixer settings, and load effects. Other tools inspect BPM, musical key, and energy, while set planning, transition handling, recording, and play history cover tasks beyond basic playback.
The package includes a FastMCP server, an OSC bridge, a REST API, and a React web app. Start it with uv sync && uv run uvicorn mixx_dj_mcp.server:app --port 11116. In Mixxx, enable OSC, set output to 11118, input to 11119, use 127.0.0.1 as the destination, and restart the app. OSC must be enabled or deck control will not work. Video mode requires the mixxxxx fork with FFmpeg support.
