mcp-cn-commerce — Claude Code MCP server: what it does & setup
Read-only stdio MCP server suite connecting AI agents to merchant operational metrics across Chinese marketplaces like Doudian, Taobao, and JD.
claude mcp add --env OCEANENGINE_ACCESS_TOKEN=<OCEANENGINE_ACCESS_TOKEN> --env DOUDIAN_APP_KEY=<DOUDIAN_APP_KEY> --env DOUDIAN_APP_SECRET=<DOUDIAN_APP_SECRET> --env DOUDIAN_SHOP_ID=<DOUDIAN_SHOP_ID> --env DOUDIAN_ACCESS_TOKEN=<DOUDIAN_ACCESS_TOKEN> --transport stdio mcp-cn-commerce -- uvx mcp-cn-commerceWhat mcp-cn-commerce does
The suite provides tools to inspect store records across Chinese marketplaces such as Doudian, Taobao, and JD. All registered tools run strictly in read-only mode. The agent cannot modify listings or publish content. Its focus stays on data extraction.
Built on Python 3.11+, each service communicates over stdio. The core includes connection pooling and payload data masking. Timestamps follow uniform formatting rules. Pagination gaps get explicitly flagged in generated summaries.
Running the server requires API credentials and access tokens for each platform. Reading operations for Pinduoduo remain disabled because official data schemas were missing. Every platform adapter currently flags live_verified: false. Live merchant account reconciliation is still pending.
What it helps with
- inspect order lists and refund records from Doudian and JD
- retrieve advertiser account balances from Ocean Engine
- extract Taobao sales metrics without write access
- normalize store transaction amounts and dates across marketplaces
Example prompts for the agent
- Check our current account balance in Ocean Engine.
- Fetch recent order details from our Doudian store.
- Summarize pending refund records across JD customer orders.
