LinkedIn MCP Server — Claude Code MCP server: search and install
This MCP server lets an agent search LinkedIn jobs and people, research companies, and work with posts, connections, and messages.
claude mcp add linkedin-mcp-server -- docker run -i --rm ghcr.io/prakharagarwal-dev/linkedin-mcp-server:0.16.0What LinkedIn MCP Server does
LinkedIn MCP Server exposes tools for finding jobs and people, reading job details and profiles, researching companies, and browsing first-degree connections. An agent can also search and read posts, publish supported post types, add comments, change reactions, and read or send messages.
The server runs in a Docker container and opens a separate browser window for LinkedIn sign-in. The session is stored locally and reused on later runs. It can be connected to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and the other clients listed for the server.
Docker is required before setup because the installation command starts the server with docker run. The browser side follows Playwright Python system requirements, and LinkedIn sign-in may include an additional verification step.
What it helps with
- search LinkedIn jobs with specific filters
- find people by role and company
- research company profiles and details
- read, publish, and discuss posts
- browse connections and messages
Example prompts for the agent
- Find remote software engineering jobs in India and show matching LinkedIn results.
- Read this LinkedIn profile and summarize its experience, education, and skills.
- Search for company posts about a topic, then show their comments and reactions.
