mcp · licinexus — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects your AI client to Brazilian government procurement notices and federal CNPJ records. It helps look up tenders, contracts, and company registration details.
claude mcp add --env CNPJ_PROVIDER=<CNPJ_PROVIDER> --transport stdio licinexus-mcp -- npx -y @licinexusbr/mcpWhat mcp does
This server exposes endpoints from Brazil's National Public Procurement Portal (PNCP) alongside federal corporate registries directly to your assistant. It allows the model to query active notices, analyze annual municipal purchasing agendas, and extract company registry details.
Communication uses the standard MCP stdio protocol via npx -y @licinexusbr/mcp. The package does not require local database storage or account registrations because it retrieves data straight from public APIs. You can optionally set a CNPJ_PROVIDER environment variable if needed.
Node.js version 18 or higher is mandatory. Running the package directly in a shell will stall without output, because the process waits for an MCP client to establish a JSON-RPC session.
What it helps with
- search active tenders and bidding notices on Brazil's PNCP portal
- verify corporate information using federal CNPJ identifiers
- find active price registration agreements with available inventory
- review municipal annual procurement schedules before participating
Example prompts for the agent
- Look up IT hardware procurement notices above 500,000 BRL from the past week on PNCP.
- Show registration records for company CNPJ 00000000000191.
- Check active price agreements for servers in the state of São Paulo with available quotas.
