KLYPIX Shared Project Memory — Claude Code MCP server
An MCP server keeps project decisions, corrections, and handoffs in brain.klypix so separate coding sessions can use the same context.
claude mcp add --env KLYPIX_VAULT=<KLYPIX_VAULT> --transport stdio klypix-shared-project-memory -- npx -y klypix-mcpWhat KLYPIX Shared Project Memory does
KLYPIX stores project decisions, corrections, and open questions in a brain.klypix file committed with the code. People can edit that file directly. The server also flags overlapping work when separate sessions expect to touch the same file, while leaving edits unblocked.
Sessions can pass notes and unfinished work to whoever continues later. In Claude Code, KLYPIX adds lifecycle hooks and a Git guard for a shared checkout. A destructive command gets a rescue copy before confirmation; other hosts use calls such as brain_sync and brain_note when the agent makes them.
Node.js 20 or newer is required. Without it, npx klypix-mcp install cannot run, so check that dependency before connecting the server.
What it helps with
- carry decisions across coding sessions
- warn about two sessions editing one file
- hand notes to a later session
- protect a shared checkout from discarded work
- turn approved lessons into project rules
Example prompts for the agent
- Sync this session with the project memory using
brain_sync, then follow its recorded decisions. - Add a project note with
brain_note: the public API of this module must stay unchanged. - Check whether another session plans to edit these files before you start.
