gk-cli — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
A local MCP server for working with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Jira through an AI agent. It also supports workflows across multiple repositories.

gk-cli connects an agent to GitKraken CLI and exposes actions for Git, GitHub, Jira and other code-hosting services. Its Work Items can group several repositories under one task, after which AI features can create commit messages and Pull Requests.
The server runs locally through npx. The CLI includes commands for authentication, issues, work items and workspaces, plus a passthrough for regular Git commands through gk. Claude Code can add the server with the command shown below.
A Nerd Font is needed for terminal icons. Safari and Brave do not respond to the localhost redirect on port 1314, so browser authentication can hang there; use another browser for that step.
