What Fiskalizimi — Albanian tax & payroll does

The server hands an agent a set of calculators: NIPT/NUIS format checks, TVSH added to or pulled out of an amount at any rate (Albania 20 / 10 / 6 %, Kosovo 18 / 8 %), and invoice totals with the VAT split per rate. Payroll works both ways: gross to net and net to gross, broken into employee contributions, progressive income tax and employer cost. Profit tax has its own tool, and tax_rates returns the whole rate and bracket config.

Nothing goes over the network and no keys are involved because the arithmetic happens on your machine. Rates were checked against tatime.gov.al; the verification date and the caveats sit in the notes of tax_rates. Read them before trusting a salary figure that lands in the 50,000–60,000 ALL monthly transitional band.

Two install paths. Claude Desktop users download fiskalizimi-mcp.mcpb from the latest release and open it. Any stdio client needs a build first: npm ci and npm run build at the repo root, the same inside mcp, then point the MCP config at mcp/dist/main.js with node. Skip the build and the client has no file to launch.

What it helps with

  • check a NIPT's format and catch O/0 and I/1 typos
  • pull TVSH out of a total at 20, 10 or 6 %
  • build invoice totals with a VAT breakdown per rate
  • turn a gross salary into net with contributions and income tax
  • work out corporate profit tax across brackets

Example prompts for the agent

  • Validate m5141 8039h as a NIPT and tell me what 120000 lek gross leaves in hand
  • Run invoice_totals for a two-line invoice with a per-line discount
  • Convert a net of 80000 ALL to gross with gross_salary_from_net and show the breakdown

Questions about Fiskalizimi — Albanian tax & payroll

How do I install Fiskalizimi in Claude Code?

Download fiskalizimi-mcp.mcpb from the latest release and open it. Otherwise build from a checkout: git clone https://github.com/square-al/fiskalizimi-utils && cd fiskalizimi-utils, then npm ci && npm run build, then cd mcp && npm ci && npm run build. Finish by adding node and the path to mcp/dist/main.js to your MCP config.

What does Fiskalizimi do?

It gives an agent offline calculators for Albanian fiscalization: NIPT validation, TVSH math, invoice totals, salary conversion in both directions and profit tax. A separate tool returns the rates and brackets along with their verification date.

Does it need internet access or an API key?

No. The server is local and read-only, makes no network calls and keeps data on the machine.
