The server exposes the full archive of Merill Fernando's weekly Entra.news digest to your assistant. It provides four tools: search_entra_news for text search, get_issue to read a release by date or number, list_issues to browse by year and month, plus find_tool_mentions to discover open-source utilities.
Setup requires no dedicated host. The server runs via npx and downloads a local SQLite database of roughly 15–20 MB to ~/.entra-news-mcp/ on its first start. It looks for database updates once a week. The default mode runs keyword matching entirely offline. Semantic hybrid queries will fail to trigger unless you provide an OPENAI_API_KEY.
