Dodo Payments — Claude Code MCP server: payments and subscriptions
Wires your agent into the Dodo Payments API for payments, subscriptions, customers, products, refunds and licenses, with docs search on the side.
claude mcp add --transport http dodopayments-api https://mcp.dodopayments.com/mcpWhat Dodo Payments does
Two MCP servers arrive with this plugin. dodopayments-api makes live API calls covering payments, subscriptions, customers, products, refunds, licenses and usage. dodo-knowledge needs no credentials at all and runs semantic search across the current Dodo Payments documentation. Alongside them sit integration skills written as SKILL.md files; the agent picks the right one when a task calls for it.
Sign-in happens through browser OAuth. Nothing to paste at install time. The catch: the API server stays dark until you complete that browser sign-in, while dodo-knowledge answers either way.
Claude Code installs from the marketplace backed by dodopayments/dodo-agent-plugin. Codex CLI, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and other clients each have their own route. Anyone who cloned the repo before v0.5.0 got a plugin with dead skills — skills/ held symlinks into a git submodule that a plain git clone never fetches. Skills are vendored as real files now, so re-clone if you installed an older build.
What it helps with
- list recent payments and their statuses
- set up a subscription for a customer
- issue a refund against a payment
- generate a license key
- look up a topic in the Dodo Payments docs
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me last week's payments and flag the failed ones
- Refund payment
pay_123 - Search the Dodo Payments docs for webhook setup
