mcp · devcyclehq — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
This MCP server lets AI assistants create and manage DevCycle feature flags from a coding environment. It uses DevCycle’s hosted endpoint.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.devcycle.com/mcpWhat mcp does
The server connects an AI coding assistant to DevCycle for feature flag management. It can create flags, update them, and work with their values from the assistant’s development environment.
DevCycle hosts the MCP endpoint, so there is no local server package to install. The connection uses https://mcp.devcycle.com/mcp; on first use, the service takes the user through OAuth authentication. Flag management starts after that sign-in flow is complete.
The server can be connected to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and other listed clients. In Claude Code, add it with claude mcp add over HTTP.
What it helps with
- create DevCycle feature flags from an AI assistant
- change flag settings without leaving the coding environment
- manage feature values through MCP
- connect DevCycle without running a local server
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a DevCycle feature flag for a staged rollout.
- List the current DevCycle flags and change the selected flag’s value.
- Connect to DevCycle and update the settings for this feature flag.
