Apollo.io MCP Server — Claude Code MCP server: 45 tools

An MCP server that hands your AI assistant the Apollo.io API: lead search, contact enrichment, CRM records and email sequences without leaving the editor.

Open on GitHub

What Apollo.io MCP Server does

The server wraps the Apollo.io API in 45 tools and exposes them to any MCP client. Your assistant can look up people by title, company, location, headcount or funding stage, pull a verified email and phone number for a profile, and work with contacts, accounts, deals, tasks and notes. Sequences get their own set: push contacts into a campaign, pause or remove them, then read opens, clicks and replies.

Build it from source first — git clone, then npm install and npm run build. Registration happens in the client config: ~/.claude/settings.json for Claude, .cursor/mcp.json for Cursor. Both point at node running dist/index.js, with APOLLO_API_KEY passed through the environment. The key comes from your Apollo.io account settings.

Some calls draw on Apollo credits. Enriching one person or one company costs 1 credit, organization search costs 1 credit per page, and bulk enrichment charges 1 credit per person. People search, CRM operations and sequence work are free. Each tool description carries its own cost, so the agent sees the price before it fires. No APOLLO_API_KEY means the server never starts.

What it helps with

  • find contacts by title, industry and funding stage
  • pull a verified email and phone number for a person
  • create a contact or deal in the CRM from the editor
  • push contacts into an email sequence and watch replies
  • check remaining Apollo credits before a bulk enrichment run

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find CTOs at Series B fintech companies in NYC
  • Enrich this contact and show me the verified email and phone number
  • Add these people to a sequence and report the open rate
