aetherwave-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects music, image, and video generation models through one unified API key. Useful for drafting and processing creative media directly inside your AI coding assistant.
claude mcp add aetherwave-mcp -e AETHERWAVE_API_KEY=<AETHERWAVE_API_KEY> -- npx -y @aetherwave-studio/mcpWhat aetherwave-mcp does
The server exposes creative generation pipelines to your assistant over standard stdio JSON-RPC. Through a single AETHERWAVE_API_KEY, an agent can produce Suno music tracks, synthesize pictures, edit footage, and run audio mastering presets. Media assets automatically land in Cloudflare R2 storage, preventing generated asset links from expiring.
Requests hold for up to 45 seconds before timing out into the background. When generation takes longer, the server responds with a running state alongside a taskId. The agent tracks in-flight rendering by polling aetherwave_get_job, or you can trigger operations immediately by setting async: true.
Uploading user media caps out at 95 MB per file. If you plan to manage apparel mockups and storefront products, the server demands an additional PRINTFUL_API_TOKEN to talk to Printful endpoints.
What it helps with
- synthesize instrumental songs and vocal tracks with Suno
- build graphic novel pages with scripts and character sheets
- upscale pictures and video clips to higher resolutions
- extract backgrounds from photos and video frames
- apply mastering presets to completed audio files
Example prompts for the agent
- Generate a synthwave album cover and create a video animation from it
- Produce an instrumental rock track with Suno and check its status
- Remove the background from
clip.mp4and export it as transparent WebM
